The Military Claims Act (MCA) is very similar to the Federal Tort
Claims Act (FTCA) with
respect to its function and
compensation system. The main difference is that if you are injured
outside the United States, your claim will be processed and reviewed
under the rules of the MCA.
Under the MCA, you are entitled to file a written claim for
compensation if you have been injured by an employee of the United
States. Once a claim is filed, it is reviewed and evaluated under
the rules of the MCA by the appropriate government agency.
Unfortunately, there is no right to file suit if you disagree with
the determination by the Federal Government. However, there is an
