Mr. Nakamura's litigation practice consists of wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice and general liability litigation. In the birth injury and medical malpractice arena, Mr. Nakamura has handled states and federal cases in Maryland, the District of Columbia, California and Florida, many resulting in multimillion dollar settlements for our clients. He also handles catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death cases, including automobile and trucking negligence, construction accidents and premises liability. He had a premises liability/catastrophic injury case which resulted in a jury verdict in excess of $1.7 million. He also handles litigation for a variety of corporate clients. Mr. Nakamura is Past Chairman of the Firm's Medical Malpractice/Personal Injury Department. An avid speaker, he has addressed the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association. He served as Co-Chair for the Personal Injury Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland for ten years. Mr. Nakamura is a member of the Education Committee for the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia. He is also a member of the Judicial Selections Committee for the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, the American Association of Justice and the Maryland Trial Lawyer's Association. |
