Profile:

Mr. Nakamura's litigation practice consists of wrongful death, personal injury, medical malpractice and general liability litigation. He has negotiated many multi-million dollar settlements on behalf of severely injured clients, including infants damaged at birth, victims of surgical errors, misdiagnosis of cancer and paraplegia due to medical negligence.  He has handled numerous jury trials and obtained significant verdicts, including a 1995 jury verdict in excess of $1.7 million for a catastrophically injured client left with a chronic pain syndrome.  He has handled medical malpractice cases locally and nationally, and has handled FTCA and MCA cases all over the United States and abroad.

Mr. Nakamura is Chairman of the Firm's Contingent Litigation Department. Prior to entering private practice, he served as a judicial law clerk to a Maryland State Court judge. An avid speaker, he has addressed the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia, the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and the Asian-Pacific American Bar Association. Mr. Nakamura has served as Co-Chair for the Personal Injury Section of the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland since 1999, and is a member of the Education Committee for the Trial Lawyer's Association for the District of Columbia. He has also served on the Judicial Selections Committee for the Bar Association of Montgomery County, Maryland, and is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Maryland Trial Lawyer's Association.
